Leake Mound Riverwalk Trail - Cartersville, GA

  • 1.7 mile point to point
  • A few hills. Passes by a water treatment plant (ew, stinky).
  • Connects to Sam Smith Trail
  • 3 miles from CBSS to parking lot off HWY 113

Sam Smith Park - Cartersville, GA

  • 2.4 mile loop
  • A few short hills. Not much shade.
  • Connects to Leake Mound Riverwalk Trail
  • 3.4 miles from CBSS to parking lot

Sosebee Cycling Park (Road) - White, GA

  • Multiple different organized road routes around White and Cartersville, GA
  • 12 miles from CBSS to parking lot

Noonday Creek Trail - Kennesaw, GA

  • 9.1 mile point to point
  • Lots of stop and go. Better for walking/running, not so much cycling.
  • 18.8 miles from CBSS to trailhead

Silver Comet Trail - From Atlanta to GA/AL State line

  • 61.6 mile point to point
  • Mostly covered in the woods, slight grades for the whole trail
  • From Rockmart to Cedartown: HILLS
  • 20.5 miles from CBSS to Downtown Rockmart Trailhead
  • 21.2 miles from CBSS to Tara Drummond Trailhead in Dallas

Rome Downtown Heritage Trail - Rome, GA

  • 16 miles of trail segments around town
  • Easy riding, a few hills. 
  • 27 miles from CBSS to Bells Ferry Park parking lot

Berry College - Rome, GA

  • ~5 mile point to point
  • More MTB trails than paved trails
  • 31 miles from CBSS to Main Campus parking

Atlanta Beltline - Atlanta, GA

  • 22 mile loop
  • 38.4 miles from CBSS to Ardmore Park Trailhead

Chief Ladiga - From GA/AL State Line to Weaver, AL

  • 33 mile point to point
  • Very pretty and out in the country/woods. Trail has a few bumpy sections (roots under asphalt)
  • 42.5 miles from CBSS to Esom hill Trailhead (Silver Comet Trail, but state line is not far)
  • Piedmont, AL has a better trailhead

Carrollton Greenbelt - Carrollton, GA

  • 18 mile loop
  • 53 miles from CBSS to nearest trailhead

 

Gravel Trails

 

Iron Hill Loop - Red Top Mtn - Acworth, GA

  • 4 mile loop
  • Very easy gravel route, slight inclines and great views of Allatoona Lake
  • 7.8 miles from CBSS to parking lot

 Lucas Road - Dallas, GA

  • ~6 mile point to point 
  • Park at Big-Un’s Biscuits, then go down Cochran Rd (across hwy 61)
  • 9 miles from CBSS to Big-Un’s Biscuits parking lot

Pine Mountain Trail - Cartersville, GA

  • 2.8 mile loop 
  • Considered a very difficult and steep ride
  • Biking allowed on Wednesdays and Saturdays on the East Loop only 
  • 6.5 miles from CBSS to East Loop trailhead

Allatoona Creek Park - Acworth, GA

  • 38 miles of loop trails ranging from beginner to advanced
  • Most of the singletrack trail alternates direction daily
  • Trails will often be closed when wet. See mtbatlanta.com for trail status updates.

Pitner Road - Acworth, GA

  • Several jump and training lines
  • Paved pumptrack
